Catalina Island Here we Come!

We are heading out this morning for a few days. The family and the 2 Grandma's. We are planning on parasailing, shopping, eating and just relaxing on the beach! We are staying at the very cozy Catalina Island Inn. I looked up what the weather will be like there and today it will be 73 and 67 overnight and Monday it will heat up to 81.

Catalina Island is a rocky island off the coast of the U.S. state of California in the Gulf of Santa Catalina. The island is 22 miles (35 km) long and 8 miles (13 km) across at its greatest width. The island is located about 22 miles (35 km) south-southwest of Los Angeles, California. The highest point on the island is 2,097 feet (639 m) Mt. Orizaba. One of the Channel Islands of California archipelago, Catalina lies within Los Angeles County. The total population as of the 2010 census was 4,096 persons, 90 percent of whom live in the island's only incorporated city, Avalon. The second center of population is the unincorporated village of Two Harbors at the island's isthmus. Development occurs also at the smaller settlements of Rancho Escondido and Middle Ranch. The remaining population is scattered over the island between the two population centers.

Have a great Sunday and see you back on Wednesday.

Hi Dru! Enjoying see your Catalina photos on FB! Looks like you're having fun. We are supposed to be going sometime this summer so you'll have to let me know of any great places to eat or things to do that you discover. Your cake was fabulous- so perfect for you. The buttered popcorn looks real! (((Hugz)))

Hi Dru, I will have to remember where you stayed for when we go. Hubby and I were there for our 25th back in 1999. Wow how time has flown. I would love to be there tomorrow since it will be so hot tomorrow. As for my blog. The Hawaii link and the site map open to new pages but the basic blog things should be inline frames.
Glad you had a great birthday weekend! Hugs
