Meet Layla Lowenthal

We picked Layla up at around noon on Sunday. I met her Mom and siblings. She had her first batch of vaccinations and seemed a little tired. She slept off and on all day. Of course around 10:00 PM she started getting feisty. Lily was very scared of her at first but this morning when I left Lily was hovering around her which is a good thing. I have had cats all my life and most cats have no problems welcoming new cats into the fold. Lily is a little different than most the cats I have ever had and she never even bonded with Billy Elliott but I can tell she will with Layla. She is intrigued by her. She I am sure has no idea what this little ball of fur is. Layla is the tinest kitty I have ever adopted so far. She was born August 12th so she is just 7 weeks old. It was so hard leaving her this morning but she knows where her little box is and her food and my bed! I watched her climb on to it before I left which made me feel better leaving her.

Hi Dru! I'm so happy you and Layla found each other! When Jessica got Kalani, he was very tiny like that, too. It'll be interesting to see if she brings out maternal instincts in Lily!

I love late September and October weather...everyone says it's the best time at coastal areas like MB and Monterey, etc...

Enjoyed the return of Homeland last night! Have to watch Good Wife on DVR- fell asleep on Revenge.

Hi Dru, Layla is so cute and born on my birthday! I know Reina wimpered when she was a baby, do cats do the same things? I mean they are babies missing their furmoms. Does she sleep with you? Have fun with her! Hugs
