No Lights?

Paul, Lisa and I went to dinner on Monday at Tallyrand it use to be our favorite place when the kids would come into town to visit, it seems now that they live here we don't go as often so Monday night was a treat and the whole staff who knows us well were happy to see us. I do pick up and take out a few times a month. Their salads are to die for. Afterwards we went to Home Depot to get my new door lock-set. Well we got the same one I had before and Paul had installed just 1 1/2 years ago! On the package it says "lifetime guarantee" so Paul packaged up the old broken lock-set and told me to take it back to Home Depot and show them the receipt from the new one. So hopefully I will get my money back or at least a credit which would be OK also. On our way home for Home Depot I had followed them there they both noticed both my brake lights were out and not just one both of them?? How does that even happen?? Who knows how long they had been out?? I didn't believe it at first and wanted to see with my own eyes and sure enough no brake lights at all except for the rear window. Well believe it or not when Paul went in the trunk to get one so we cold take it to Pep Boys and get 2 new ones. I went into my glove box because I  kind of remembered seeing a package of bulbs in my glove a few weeks ago when I was looking for my owners manual and guess what I had a brand new package of 2 brake lights in there. I have no idea why they were in there or when I bought them?? So that was a very pleasant surprise and saved us a trip to the auto parts store. Well we used them and they both are working. But I am going to keep an eye on them in case it might be a electrical short. When I back out of the parking lot at Miracle Sealants I can actually see my tail lights in the window that is from our conference room. So when I got off work last night they looked to still be working. That really worries me since I drive 4 freeways to work and back. Of course the brake light in the rear window is working but on the freeway when we come to a quick stop you want all your brake lights working!

Lifetime guarantee? Wow! I've never heard it before, but I love it! :) Hope you'll get your money back, Dru! Glad you had another fun night out too. *huggles*

I enjoyed Monaghan on the Lost series.
My front door lock set is breaking down and I paid over 200 for the darn thing! It hardly lasted any time at all. Old homes with lock and handles 100 years old are still going strong. We get ripped off sometimes I think. Mine was also guaranteed and I think your son is smart to send it back to them.
Hope your Friday is wonderful.
Hugs!

Hi Dru, wow you are having an "outage" of sorts. Hope nothing else happens! 4 freeways? Of course that is very possible here in So CA. It has been awhile since I was our your way. Have a great weekend! Hugs

That's sure good that you noticed your brake lights out. I certainly don't envy you driving on 4 freeways! I'm not a fan of those kind of roads. I hope it was just a light issue and not a short. Stay safe.
