To Post or Not to Post?

I am having a hard time posting again. I don't know why either? But here it goes. I had a pretty uneventful weekend. Friday went to dinner with the kids before they headed to Denver, CO for another convention. They were only home 2 days from Atlanta before they had to head back out again. This time Justin went and Paul stayed behind. Their business is booming I am very happy for them. If it booms enough one day I just might be working for them and can get rid of my 2 jobs. Well anyway in 2 years 9 months I am retiring from my full time job that is for sure. And maybe then I can go to work in the family business and leave the Hospital. When I retire 7/3/16 I will be able to work as much as I want and not get dinged. It is considered my full retirement. I never want to get old so fast except when I was a kid!

Tonight is my nail appointment and tomorrow night we have our weekly Doug Loves Movies at the Upright Citizns Brigade Theater in Hollywood. Thursday starts our new season of plays at The Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake known for the city Bob Hope lived until is passed away. The play we are seeing is The Mystery of Irma Vep, a penny dreadful. It was named one of the best plays of 1984 by The New York Times, this ridiculous romp begins on a dark and stormy night when Lady Enid and her new husband arrive at a haunted estate. The laughs erupt as a mystery unfolds in this side-splitting spoof of horror movies, classic literature, Victorian melodrama and the conventions of theater itself, complete with werewolves, vampires, mummies and damsels in distress. It sounds good to me. I am sure we will  love it.

When I took Layla in on Friday night for her vaccinations they weighed her and she is 1 1/2 lbs now.  She was not a happy camper at all. That little fur ball cried like someone was killing her all the way there and back. No fun to be driving when you have a frantic pet in the car with you. I decided her final vaccinations she will wait and get when she is neutered in Dec. Emily who I adopted her from that works there said that is probably a good idea to do it all in Dec.

She was not a happy camper at all at the Vet's

Happy to be back home!

Hi Dru, I enjoyed your post so please keep it up. When you talk of the plays, it makes me think of when I was in high school and an usherette. I got to see the plays and music performances for free and I really enjoyed them.
That would be nice if you could quit the hospital job to work with the family until your retirement kicks in. Poor Layla, she reminds me of Reina. I think waiting until she gets fixed is a good idea for the next visit. I enjoy the pics of her. She has her unique personality. I just updated my blog with lots of pics so come and visit. Hugs and please don't go.

Hi Dru;

I know how you feel. I had to force myself all these past 2 weeks to post. Even this morning I had to force myself to get on my laptop to visit. Old age has me turning into a cranky person...LOL! Never stop posting my friend for even if I don't leave comments all the time, I do stop by and read your posts as I have my coffee in the mornings.

I think it's great you will be working in the family business in time. Hope Layla is better today. Hugs my friend.

Hi Dru! I think everyone is perhaps getting a little tired of blogging right now? It sure seems that way. I know I'm having a quiet week myself. Layla looks darling upset and all. I hope you had a good time at the play. It sounds right up my alley! Retirement will be here before you know it, my dear. Hope you're having a great Wednesday. Big hugs!

Hi Dru!
Layla is so cute. I am in love with her little face.
I hate how they cry on the way to the Vet. Garfield does it now and if he had tears they would be running down his face. Poor little guy is so scared of the Vet even though the girls there love him.
I am glad you found things to post about. Honestly, even just the little things people do day to day are interesting to me.
Hugs
