Finally I Am Posting!

I just have not been in mood to post in here. I guess Facebook just takes to much of my time. Well since I posted last there is not much new. I took Valentine's Day off and Joe and I had a great lunch at a wonderful Mexican restaurant in North Hollywood called Salsa & Beer. They grill their Taquitos like you do Fajitas and it is so delicious. The only place I know that makes them this way so when we go there that is what we usually get. After lunch I went to Costco & Target. I got all new rugs for my 3 bathrooms at Target and they were all on sale the colors I picked out. I also got a new George Forman grill I wanted it in stainless steel to match all my appliances and my old one had seen better days. It was a fun day!! Then back to work on the weekend.

Layla was 6 months old on the 12th and she is feisty and playful as ever and she is a talker like her Siamese Mom! Her new thing is to walk on top of my doors! 

I'm BACK!!

This is the longest that I have gone without posting. So many people aren't either so I had not much of an incentive to do so. TGIF!!!


Chris and I went to a great play last night at The Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake what a great play it was Bunny Bunny Gilda Radner: A sort of romantic comedy by Alan Zweibel. Beginning with the first time they met behind a potted tree in an early Saturday Night Live meeting, Bunny Bunny is a whirlwind personal journey through the fourteen-year friendship of writer Alan Zweibel and comedienne Gilda Radner. The play pulls us through a memory patchwork of Alan’s hilarious and heartbreaking adventures with his dear Gilda, as their insecurities and demons are eased by their shared talent for laughter. Gilda is so missed she passed away from Ovarian Cancer at only 42 years old in 1989. We loved the play it was funny and touching all in one.

Layla recovered just fine from her surgery (spayed) She is feisty as ever and still loves posing for the camera. And on the 12th she will be 6 months old. I can't believe I have had her now for over 4 1/2 months.

This is another working weekend for me. I am actually even working tonight so it will be back to back jobs until midnight tonight. I am happy to work Friday's every once in awhile. No more every Friday even though I miss the money they were not smart taking them away because now I am fine not working them. I was asked but said NO!! Just once in awhile. I am loosing $440 a month from just not working 4 Fridays 6-12. I have adjusted my budget and I am OK! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

1. Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world? I would live right where I am living in So Cal, we have it all mountains for skiing, deserts for 4 wheeling and our beaches are beautiful. Our weather is perfect!
2. Do you have a favorite city? Yes    If so, what is it? New Orleans. It feels like a different country there. I love the people the culture and the food!
3. What car would you have if money was no object? The car I will have when I retire in two years a Ford Fusion
4.  What kind of house would you have if you could have any one you desired? Country cottage at the beach.
5.  Is there a special event/or sight you have always wanted to see? I would love to be invited to the White House for an event with President Obama.
6. What is your dream vacation destination? London for a whole Beatles tour and to stay in The Hard Days Night Hotel.


It is Friday again! Weeks are flying by. I did some fun things this week among them was the movie interruption of Thor The Dark World, thank goodness we had some funny people sitting in the front row interrupting this movie it was pretty bad. I love all the Marvel superheros especially Iron Man, Thor is my least favorite now I know why! Tonight Joe and I are going to see the movie that Matthew Mcconaughey and Jared Leto have been winning a lot of awards for Dallas Buyers Club. We are going to have a late dinner after the show at the Cheesecake Factory in the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It is a regular work weekend for me except Saturday I am working 10:30-7 so I can go to one of our favorite improv shows at the UCB theater. Normally I work 3:30-12. Layla is doing great. Her stitches look great I can barely see them anymore. It will be 2 weeks on Monday she was spayed. She is such a sweet kitty and loves to pose for pictures. Ans she loves my lamp on my end table by my bed! Have a great weekend!

Layla was spayed on Monday and I was lucky to have Emily and Zach drop her off at my house when they came into Burbank. I brought her inside and she starting flopping all over the floor with that cone on. So off it went and I never put it back on. She was pretty groggy and not herself for 2 days. I actually took Wednesday off to be home with her. Lily was being a brat and hissing and hitting her. By the third day all was well between the two of them and my Layla was back to herself again. I will never wait 5 months as the Vet had suggested. I read online it is perfectly fine to spay or neuter cats as young as 6 weeks. Every kitty I have ever adopted were already fixed and they were all between 6-8 weeks old. I was a nervous wreck over this!

My mini iPad came on Tuesday while I was home on vacation and I love it. It is so much easier relaxing in bed with an iPad than with a lap top let me tell you. Since I have an iPhone I was able to get all the apps I have on my cell and with iCloud all my contacts and picture were right on it when I connected it and set it up. So easy. 

It was so hard going back to work after being off for 4 days! Only 2 days back and it is Friday already. I am working the weekend at the Hospital my usual hours. Tonight I am going to dinner with the kids plus Justin's 21st Birthday is on the 25th and he will be in Las Vegas for a convention for their business the week prior to his Birthday so some of his friends will be heading to Vegas to celebrate it with him. I won't be and Paul will be back home. Lisa is going to stay and she has a friend coming up also. So I will not see him until they get back on the 30th. I will give him his gift tonight at dinner. They have Supercross tomorrow night and then they leave for Vegas on Sunday morning for 12 days. It is actually 2 shows back to back. Paul will go up on Sunday fly home Wednesday then go back for the second show on 28th. I can't believe my baby is going is going to be 21 and my other baby is going to be 43 in May! YIKES!! Just Because

I changed my graphics yay! It is pretty easy in blogger to do so. It reminds me of when I had my old Geocities web page. It was all just drag and drop the only HTML I used was when I wanted to have a layered background. I hope the new year has started off as a good one for everybody? Mine has been pretty darn good so far. I was off on Tuesday "just because" but I am going to take this Sunday off and Monday & Tuesday. I have some fun things planned. On Sunday the Cinefamily  has a members pot luck and a Doug Benson TV Interruption of the Golden Globe Awards, Doug Benson, the King Of Interruption, will be alongside a selection of his hand-selected comedian guests chilling in the front row, mics in hand, saying whatever hilarious things that pop into their heads while the awards madness unfolds. We then have a show at UCB at 9:30. Busy day and night! I am off Monday and Tuesday. Monday Layla is getting fixed so I will drop her off in the early AM and pick her up after my nail appointment in the evening. What I love about this new vet is they are open 9-10 PM Monday-Saturday and Sunday 9-5. Emily who I adopted Layla from works there and will get to see her after 3 months. I had her there for her shots a few weeks after I brought her home. Emily is Justin's friends girlfriend. Tuesday I will be anxiously awaiting the delivery of my Mini iPad. I found a great deal online and took the plunge. I love my iPhone so this will feel like a much bigger iPhone. I got this cute case for it on Amazon.

Happy New Year!

Christmas was wonderful. We had temps in the 80's. Pool and Jacuzzi weather for sure. We ended up having more than 40 people. Lisa did make a comment a few days later that she is not sure if she wants to do this again next year. A lot of the people stayed until 1:00 AM drinking and Lisa was left cleaning. I went to work at 7:30 and when I left the party was in full swing. 

Oreo has gained a bit of weight! 

For New Year's Eve we are going to see The Wolf of Wall Street and then we will go to Canter's Deli which is becoming a tradition with us to have our first meal there to ring the New Year in with. Nothing better than Jewish Deli food!! Have a wonderful New Year's Eve and a Happy Healthy New Year! See you next year!

Happy Holiday's

I have been so busy I haven't had much time to blog. I didn't realize it had been almost a week already since I blogged last. We had our Christmas Party at work today and we got out early. I have been busy wrapping and organizing my presents to take to the kids house tomorrow. It is a quiet evening here in my home tonight. The family are spending Christmas Eve at their friends house who will then all be at their house tomorrow for Christmas. So I am enjoying the quiet with my kitties. I always go over there at about 7:00 AM to open presents and have a nice big breakfast. I hear Natasha will be making French Toast. I will head back home and then go back around 2:00. There will be about 40 people for dinner tomorrow. We are having Prime Rib, 2 Turkeys, Honey Baked Ham and all the fixings. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I will get around to your blog visits in the morning. I am beat.
